It’s no surprise that Savannah is consistently at the top of the list for best bachelorette destinations.
From gorgeous tree-lined streets and Southern charm to tasty food and rowdy bars, Savannah truly has a little bit of everything.
It’s the perfect mix of peaceful and playful, making it a no-brainer choice for many brides and their besties.
My friend Taylor is getting married this fall. As her matron of honor, I was so excited to help brainstorm and plan her bachelorette weekend in Savannah to make sure we were able to experience all the city had to offer.
We were overwhelmed with choices for what to do for a long weekend girl’s trip when we first started researching bachelorette parties in Savannah.
I ultimately loved what we landed on itinerary-wise and since it was too good not to share.
I’ve put together this Savannah bachelorette itinerary recapping our weekend and sharing the exact schedule we followed so you can easily copy and paste it for your own soirée.
Savannah Bachelorette Itinerary: How to Spend the Perfect Weekend
Here’s how we spent a long weekend (Thursday to Sunday) in Savannah for Taylor’s bachelorette trip.
Thursday: Arrival & welcome drinks
Check into the Airbnb – 4:00 PM
Head to Savannah on Thursday morning (it was only about a 2 hour flight from the NYC area). Kick off the weekend by checking into your home base.
Choose a spacious Airbnb so everyone can unpack, decorate, and settle in before the celebrations begin.
I’m obsessed with the house that we stayed at, it’s honestly perfect for a large group! We had a group of 12 and it felt like everyone still had their own space.
I’ve also got you covered with bachelorette decor ideas and gifts for the bridal party.
I ended up ordering these custom hats from Etsy for each of the girls. Everyone also got a hangover kit in their gift bag (trust me, they come in handy.)
If we had a smaller group we may have considered a hotel. But it ended up being cheaper for us to split the cost of the house.
Weekend kickoff – 8:00 PM
Start the trip with a fun kickoff where you’re staying. We actually hired Cocktail Boys to come to our house and make drinks for us.
We supplied the supplies (liquor, mixers, cups, ice) and they acted as bartenders. They played games with us and brought the vibes.
Things did get a little rowdy at the pre-game for us. So if you’ve got a more tame group, you can always play a fun card game or put on some fun music to get the party started.
For the first night or your Savannah bachelorette itinerary, head out for some casual bar hopping downtown to get a taste of Savannah’s nightlife.
We ended up at a bar not far from our house called McDonough’s. It had karaoke and a kitchen open late.
As you can imagine, we took over the stage and sang about 30 songs and then we took some chicken tenders home with us around 1am. Iconic night all around.
Friday: Beach day & tequila toasts
Breakfast at home – 9:00 AM
Fuel up with coffee and pastries before heading out for the day’s adventures.
We had actually done a big order through Walmart+ for the weekend so we had some coffee, muffins and fruit already at the house, but you could also pick some up from a local cafe.
Tybee Island beach day – 11:00 AM
Pack your swimsuits because it’s time for some sunshine!
Tybee Island is just a short drive from Savannah, and it’s perfect for lounging by the water with your girls.
This is also a great thing to do if you’re visiting Savannah during the summer months (we went in August) and are looking for a reprieve from the heat.
It’s a short Uber ride from downtown Savannah (again, not bad when split between a few people) and you can even hire a company to provide beach chairs for you.
We ended up using a company called Burke’s Beach Rentals that was super flexible with us, we ended up booking with them the week of the bachelorette and they didn’t have super strict cancellation policies like some other companies we looked at.
Once we arrived at Tybee we were also able to do a quick run to grab some drinks and styrofoam coolers to bring to the beach with us.
We were also a short walk from a strip of places to grab sandwiches and coffee called The Surfing Goat.
I should also mention that we wore oversized condiments t-shirts to the beach, just for fun. I was ketchup!
Pro tip: Have a rain plan! If the weather doesn’t cooperate, swap the beach for a day exploring historic Savannah instead.
Savannah Tequila Company – 7:00 PM
After the beach, freshen up and head out for a fun group dinner downtown at Savannah Tequila Company.
This restaurant is right on the water and the shared plates are perfect for groups.
Order some margaritas and toast to the bride!
Bar hopping – 9:00 PM
Keep the night going by hitting Savannah’s lively bar scene.
We went to a country-themed bar called Saddle Bags where some girls (not me lol) rode the mechanical bull.
You also can’t miss Savannah Smiles, known for its dueling pianos and party vibes.
We had a blast singing along and requesting a song where we all got to go up onstage.
Getting a table there isn’t a guarantee so be prepared to show up and scout for seats while you’re enjoying the music and vibes.
Saturday: Brunch, burlesque, & pedal biking
Breakfast at the Airbnb – 10:00 AM
Start the day slow with mimosas and pancakes at home before the activities for the day kick off.
Burlesque dance class – 12:00 PM
First, if you’ve never seen Burlesque starring Christina Aguilera, I must IMPLORE you to watch this film before booking this next activity.
Spice things up with a private burlesque dance class taught by Savannah’s own Downtown Delilah’s.
We were so excited when we found this as a potential activity for our trip because it felt totally unique to Savannah and unlike anything we’d do at home.
We had a great instructor who taught us a routine and we even got to do it once with the smoke machines on.
It’s the perfect way to bond and learn a few new moves to break out for your next girl’s night out—it’s giving The Life of a Showgirl.
Brunch at Little Duck Diner – 2:00 PM
After dancing, head to Little Duck Diner for an Instagram-worthy brunch spread and cocktails.
If you were wondering, yes, the mimosas do come with tiny ducks floating in them. How cute!
Pro tip: Making a brunch reservation for a large group during busy season in Savannah is pretty much impossible, so plan to put your name down where you want to go and grab a coffee while you wait.
Pedal bike tour – 4:30 PM
Hop on a private pedal bike and cruise around town while stopping at some of Savannah’s best bars.
It’s a unique, laughter-filled way to explore the city. We were blasting music and laughing the whole time.
Pro tip: be prepared for the pedal bike rain or shine. It was actually raining for most of the afternoon while we were there, but it was still a blast.
Order in dinner at home – 8:00 PM
At this point if you’re not exhausted, I would like you to explain to me what your secret is to being a literal energizer bunny in extreme detail.
Keep the celebrations going with games back at the house—plan to get in your PJ’s play some games and order in food.
This will give anyone who has an early flight a chance to catch some shuteye and anyone who wants to keep hanging out a lowkey way to do so.
Sunday: Farewell breakfast & check out
Check out – 10:00 AM
Wrap up the weekend with a quick breakfast or grab-and-go sandwiches before heading to the airport!
Tips for planning the perfect Savannah bachelorette trip
- Stay downtown: Book an Airbnb near the historic district for walkable access to bars, restaurants, and photo-worthy streets.
- Book activities early: Dance classes, peddle bikes, and beach rentals can sell out fast, especially during the busy season from May through September— be sure to reserve your spots in advance.
- Pack for all weather: Savannah summers are hot, but afternoon showers are common, so bring versatile outfits.
- Mix relaxation & fun: Balance beach days and brunches with lively nights out for the perfect weekend flow.
- Take out cash: I had envelopes prepared with cash tips for the cocktail boys, the burlesque dance instructor and the pedal bike driver so I didn’t have to scramble after each activity.
- Track expenses on Splitwise: I put my card down for most meals or group activities but for smaller things like Ubers or coffee shop runs we used Splitwise to track who owed what during the trip.
