Viral ‘Queen of Halloween’ Macy Blackwell Spent Over $50K Transforming Her Home into an Enchanted Forest for Annual Party (Exclusive)

Every Halloween, Macy Blackwell invites friends and family to her Texas home for an elaborate party, which she shares with her 2.2 million Instagram followers.
This year she used an enchanted-forest theme, a change from the Las Vegas-inspired decor she used in 2025.
Blackwell, 32, told PEOPLE she does not restrict herself to a budget in October, which is why she said she spent “well over $50,000” on the 2026 event.
Blackwell is described as a content creator / social-media sensation who proves herself each October as social media’s “queen of Halloween” by throwing an all-out spooky-season soirée; the article says this year’s party was even bigger and better than before.
The 2026 event took place on Saturday, Oct. 24.
The theme was enchanted forest, described as a stark pivot from the Las Vegas-inspired decor chosen in 2025. Blackwell told PEOPLE her goal was an environment that felt completely immersive, almost like bringing the outdoors inside.
She does not take her hostess role lightly and wants the party to be one everyone looks forward to all year and where the craziest memories are made, attributed to Blackwell. Guests really go all out, per Blackwell; most have custom costumes made and spend months planning their looks for this one night. One of her favorite parts, per Blackwell, is seeing everyone’s interpretation of the theme and watching their creativity shine.

She has 2.2 million Instagram followers to impress with the annual reveal and is well aware expectations are high. She shares almost everything about preparation, from decorations to her costume details and behind-the-scenes moments. Blackwell said being crowned “queen of Halloween” brings pressure to live up to the title, but she loves that because it pushes her to dream even bigger.
Her costume was a “dark forest fairy” ensemble to fit the magical woodland theme. Blackwell explained it to PEOPLE as less Tinker Bell and more queen of the enchanted woods.
Blackwell hopes some online viewers follow her lead; she noted that while the party is over-the-top, inspiration can be taken from anything and scaled to personal liking.
Blackwell and her husband remove all their regular furniture and bring in themed rental pieces for the evening. The article calls the morning-after cleanup no joke, but says she has no plans to host Halloween at a venue in the future because capturing the intimate spirit and slightly chaotic energy of a house party is crucial to her, per Blackwell.

Her biggest goal is always a party where everyone actually dances, per Blackwell, so there is a huge dance floor and a hip-hop-heavy playlist.
Blackwell has a penchant for DIY decor, but jokes that she gives herself the luxury of hosting help in October. This year she brought her vision to life with planning assistance from Modern Party Company. Blackwell said this gives the best of both worlds because she can still be creative while relaxing, partying, and being present with guests instead of stressing over details.
The article says there is a steep price tag; on Blackwell’s Halloween budget, she noted “the limit does not exist!” She continued that they are spending well over $50,000 on this year’s party alone, but for a theme like this it is so worth it to them.
Last year, Blackwell told PEOPLE her party cost about $30,000 in total, and she noted that was only “actually almost half” of what they spent in 2024.

Every year she challenges herself to get a little more creative and elevate the entire experience, adding playfully that she is coming for Heidi Klum’s Halloween party host crown. In her opinion no other holiday compares to Halloween because there is just something magical about it, and she does not see the tradition ending anytime soon. She said she loves bringing friends together for a night where everyone can escape reality, embrace their spooky side, and make memories that will haunt them in the best way for years to come.
